Do you spend all day talking about your favourite UFC fighter and comparing his successful strike ratio to all other contenders in the division?
Can you recite the points breakdown from BJ Penn vs GSP at UFC 58?
Got a full-scale Octagon replica sitting in your backyard?
If you answered yes to any of the above, there’s a good chance that you’re a diehard UFC fan. And congratulations…you’re awesome.
Since it’s so amazingly cool to be a diehard UFC fan, here are 7 more signs that you might be one:
7. You know who the fighters on the Facebook Fights are
You don’t just watch the main card on pay-per-view, but you also log on and catch all the free Facebook fights. But not only do you that – you know who these obscure fighters are and can recite whether they’re more of a standup or ground fighter.
6. You have a favourite fighter in every weight class
You’re not just a “I love Brock Lesnar” kind of fan but you’ve got your favourite in every weight division and know exactly when their next fight is. Bonus points on this one if you’ve got a favourite fighter in the bantamweight and featherweight divisions.
5. You watch the European UFC events LIVE
It’s great when the UFC heads to England or Germany but if you’re an Aussie it also means setting your alarm for 6:30am to get up and watch it live. If you’re a diehard UFC fan, there’s no recording or catching the replay for you – you’re watching every punch as it happens.
4. When you’re not watching the UFC you’re studying Mixed Martial Arts
Whether it’s in BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing or kickboxing you’re taking classes in martial arts to bring you closer to the UFC. But for you they’re not just a class – they’re the only reason to not be watching UFC replays and most of the people in the class are probably scared by your UFC obsession.
3. You follow Arianny Celeste on Twitter
There’s a lot more to the UFC than just the fighters and if you’re a diehard UFC fan then you’re covering all aspects by checking out the UFC’s own Playboy model on Twitter. Not much UFC related on there, but then again, some of the candid photos she posts would make any non-diehard fan’s heart start racing too. Check out Arianny Celeste’s Top 25 Sexiest Photos – it’s a fine example of her work.
2. You bet on every UFC fight
You’ve got a Sportsbet account and you know the fighters so well that you’re making money betting on the UFC fight outcomes. But you just don’t bet on the winner – you’re tipping whether the win is by KO or submission and which round it’s going to be in. And you’re usually right.
1. You watch every UFC event on pay-per-view
At around $40 bucks an event it takes a strong financial commitment to watch every UFC pay-per-view event. But that doesn’t stop you – you’re happy to sell your car, home and the shirt off your back to make sure you never miss a fight.
So are you a diehard fan? How many signs you got?
