The mass of unofficial leaks and announcements regarding UFC 127 (to be held in Australia in February) continues.
At this stage it looks like a new addition to the fight card will be Michael Bisping vs Jorge Rivera. You’ll remember that Jorge Rivera had his fight cancelled at UFC 122 when his then opponent Alessio Sakara had to pull out of the fight.
With an overall record of 18-7, Jorge is a seasoned UFC fighter who has faced such big names as Anderson Silva, Rich Franklin and Chris Leben in his career.
Michael “The Count” Bisping is no stranger to Australian fans after his UFC 110 loss to Wanderlei Silva at the last Australian UFC in 2010. He’ll come in to the fight on a two-fight winning streak and an overall record of 20-3.
It will be interesting to see what fan reactions are to this fight. On the one hand, Bisping is a quality entertainer who always puts on a great show for the fans – but on the other hand, he was also on the fight card at the last Australian UFC and there are a lot of other names which UFC fans would love to chance to see live down under.
