UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida was held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 20, 2010 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
It was the first UFC event in the Metro Detroit area since UFC 9.
A stacked fight card consisting of four former UFC champions made it an all-out action packed event with some great highlights.
BJ Penn absolutely destroying Matt Hughes after just 21 seconds in the Octagon was a standout knockout and Aussie fighter George Sotriopolous once again proved exactly why he’s championship contender material.
The main event of the night saw Rampage somewhat controversially defeat Lyoto Machida in a split points decision. Many who saw the fight were shocked by the decision with the third round seeming like a clear victory to Machida.
