Just when you thought you’d seen everything the UFC has to offer, they’re coming at us with something new with the first ever WOMEN’s UFC Bantamweight championship in UFC 157: Rousey vs Carmouche this Sunday – you can watch it LIVE on MAIN EVENT!
Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey is a judo legend having won the Olympic gold medal in judo at the 2008 Olympic Games. She was also the youngest judo competitor in the entire 2004 Athens Games and most recently was the undefeated Strikeforce women’s champion.
But perhaps her most impressive stat is that she is currently on a 6-0 win record with every fight won via armbar submission in the first round!!
Looking to be the first person to defeat Rousey is Liz Carmouche – the former marine corps soldier on a 8-2 record who is known for her devastating ability to finish via TKO.
It’s going to be a history making fight which you won’t want to miss.
Also on the UFC 157 fight card will be the huge battle between veteran UFC warrior Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson. A win for Dan Henderson in this one would put him back in direct line for a title fight against Jon Jones.
You can watch it all live on TV in your home on the MAIN EVENT channel. Here’s more info on UFC 157: Rousey vs Carmouche and how to watch it: http://mainevent.com.au/mma/ufc-157-rousey-vs-carmouche-1471/
