It’s always interesting when the UFC fighter salaries get released and the pay days from UFC 132 are certainly no exception!
Tito Ortiz was the big winner on the day, picking up a whopping $450,000 purse for finishing Bader after just 1:56 of fight time. That kind of salary in the UFC is usually reserved for the big crowd pullers such as Brock Lesnar and Georges St Pierre so it certainly makes you wonder how close Dana White was to actually cutting Ortiz.
If he’s pulling the crowds that those numbers indicate, could the UFC afford to let him go?
So here’s the full salary breakdown from the UFC 132 salary report released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission:
NOTE: The above figures only represent base salaries reported to the commission and do not include money fighters may have earned from “fight night” or “locker room” bonuses, or from sponsorships. The reported salaries also do not reflect expenses fighters may have to pay out such as taxes, licensing fees, etc.
